MISSION

In 2018, Ghiath Machnok and Toufic El Zein embarked on a mission, laying the cornerstone of Mission Art. Why art as a mission, you might wonder? For us, it's about nurturing the seeds of creativity and fostering a culture where art transcends boundaries, reaching both artists and educational institutions alike.

We're architects of change, crafting a roadmap that offers artists opportunities for residencies and dedicated spaces to create, igniting sparks of inspiration that illuminate the path ahead.

Through our curated exhibitions like "Let There Be Light," "Extraordinary Art," and "7 Rooms 7 Artists," Mission Art takes you on a journey beyond the confines of traditional galleries. We curate itinerant and collective exhibitions beyond our walls, while also showcasing solo exhibitions in our own space. Each exhibition carefully unveils unseen works by artists intricately connected to the network of the Middle East.

GHIATH MACHNOK

Armed with a degree in architecture, Ghiath has traversed the realm of fine arts since the vibrant 80s art scene in Syria. His decision to call Beirut home in 2014 marked the natural evolution of his career, culminating in the inception of Mission Art.

TOUFIC ELZEIN

With a BA in Fine Arts and a master's in Art Curating and Critique, Toufic's journey began as an Art Director at the family-owned publishing house, Dar Al Kitab Allubnani. From there, he ventured into the realm of vintage Mid-XXth-century furniture before establishing a PR and Communication agency. However, his unwavering passion for art ultimately led him to co-create Mission Art.
