He was born in Tartous, Syria, in 1963. He studied Interior Design in the Faculty of Fine Arts, Damascus University, and graduated in 1987, when he became a member of the Syrian Plastic Artists’ Union in Syria. He has participated in several collective exhibitions for Arab artists since 1986. He had a number of personal exhibitions and generous contributions in architecture.

Hamoud has given several personal exhibitions in Syria and abroad. His first was in Baladna Art Gallery in Amman, Jordan (1994), then in al-Sayyed Art Gallery in Damascus (1996), “Dialogue of Revelations” in al-Sayyed Art Gallery in Damascus (2003), “illuminations, 2003-2008” (2008) and “illuminations, 2008-2010” (2010) in Art House Gallery in Damascus.

As for his collective art events, Hamoud has exhibited his artworks with several Syrian, Arab and foreign artists, in Syria and abroad. His first collective exhibition was al-Asseel exhibition in 1991 and 1992 in Damascus and Lattakia, which he organized as well, then came «Syrian Contemporary Art» exhibition in Waqif Art Center in Doha, Qatar (2008), «The Fall» exhibition in ar-Riwaq Art Gallery in Damascus (2008), in Karma Art Gallery in Aleppo (2008), «Paris-Damascus, crossed visions» exhibition in the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, France (2008) and «Damascus-Paris, crossed visions» exhibition in the National Museum of Damascus, Syria (2009), «To Children of Gaza» exhibition in People’s Gallery in Damascus (2009), «Artist’s Room» exhibition in Biennale di Venezia, Italy (2009), 3 consecutive exhibitions of «Let It Be Jewelry» in Art House Gallery in Damascus (2009) and in Mouawad Palace in Beirut, Lebanon (2009) and in the National Museum in Manama, Bahrain (2010), «Jerusalem in their Eyes» exhibition in Art House Gallery in Damascus (2009), and «First Art & Culture Season» exhibition in Tilal Gallery, Kuwait (2010), and the collective exhibition among the activities of the Syrian Cultural Week in Istanbul, Turkey (2011). Hamoud’s latest contribution were «Beirut Design Week» exhibition in Khawatem Gallery and «Woman Through the Eyes” exhibition in Tajalliyat Gallery, both in Beirut, Lebanon (2015).
