MISSION

Mission Art: Where Art is a Journey

Founded in 2018 by Ghiath Machnok and Toufic El Zein, Mission Art was built on a foundational belief: that art is a vital mission.

Why a mission? For us, it is about nurturing the seeds of creativity and transcending traditional boundaries. We are dedicated architects of change, crafting a unique roadmap that supports artists through residencies and dedicated studio spaces, while fostering a vibrant culture for artists and educational institutions alike.

We invite you to journey beyond the white cube. Through our curated exhibitions—such as "Let There Be Light," "Extraordinary Art," and "7 Rooms 7 Artists"—we transform any space into a realm of discovery. Our program is a dynamic mix of itinerant collective shows and solo exhibitions within our own gallery.

At the heart of our mission is a commitment to unveiling unseen works. We carefully curate a dialogue with the Middle East, showcasing artists deeply connected to its rich and diverse cultural network.

GHIATH MACHNOK

Armed with a degree in architecture, Ghiath has traversed the realm of fine arts since the vibrant 80s art scene in Syria. He conceived, co-founded, and designed The Art House in Damascus. His decision to call Beirut home in 2014 marked the natural evolution of his career, culminating in the inception of Mission Art.

TOUFIC ELZEIN

With a BA in Fine Arts and a master's in Art Curating and Critique, Toufic's journey began as an Art Director at the family-owned publishing house, Dar Al Kitab Allubnani. From there, he ventured into the realm of vintage Mid-XXth-century furniture before establishing a PR and Communication agency. However, his unwavering passion for art ultimately led him to co-create Mission Art.
