Nada MATTA
Nada Matta (b. 1968, Lebanon) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work blends drawing, movement, and narrative with deep emotional resonance. A graduate of the ATEP program in Paris, she further honed her artistic sensibility at the A&F Chantraine Dance School in France, where she explored the expressive power of the body—an influence that continues to inform her visual practice.
Matta’s drawings evoke the innocence of early childhood and the organic flow of nature, filtered through a lens of personal memory, daily intimacy, and underlying emotional currents. Her work expresses a delicate tension between lightness and depth, joy and hidden sorrow, rendered with raw immediacy.
She has published three illustrated books with Éditions MeMo (France), including Petite Pépite, which was awarded the prestigious Prix Sorcières in 2017 in the albums category..
